Thank you for your comments on my recent postings. They are appreciated.

This is an image from my archive that I reworked recently. It was made on a chilly October morning at Rock Creek, in the Sierra.

Beautiful Preston. So peaceful and soothing in it's appearance, and I love the curved trunk.

A great little take on this site in the Rock Creek Canyon area of the sierras, Preston. The curved tree is truly nature's own centerpiece in this scene. No suggestions for change on this one.....

Beautiful light and color, Preston. I really like the sweeping curve of the starring tree and its reflection. The image has a very painterly feel to me. Well done. :toast: Chet

Yes! I really like the subtleness of the colors here showing the transition to fall. The reflection is a terrific addition. This definitely has what I would call the classic view camera feeling.

I really enjoy how calm this photo is. It feels very true to the location, and gives me the feeling that I'm viewing it in person. Wonderful work.

Hey Preston,
I really enjoy this! The scene/subject is beautiful, and peaceful. Nice colors and composition too. I have nothing to suggest.

Preston,

What a quiet and beautiful Eastern Sierra scene. No nits and the only suggestion I can come up with would be about a 1/3 reduction in overall brightness - certainly a personal choice. (Actually, the large version looks spot on - color, contrast, everything.) Well done.

Cool! Beautiful little scene. I think this works fine as is--but FWIW i like it even more as a horizontal or square crop--that really emphasizes the curves and symmetry. :wavey:

Lots to enjoy and savor in this serene scene, Preston. The soft light is gorgeous and that graceful curved tree is simply fantastic. Beautiful image. I could also see this working with just a little crop from the top.

A crisp and clean image. With that lovely color and excellent calming effect. Reminds me of the works of classic intimate nature photographers. :toast:
