WC#597 Lovely Lupines

by Carol Nichols

Gallery: Weekly ChallengePosted August 15, 2013633 views4 comments
Lupines are one of my favorite flowers thus making this one of my favorite flower images. It was taken along a road in Maine. (Previously posted in the Flora Gallery.)

Critiques and comments are very welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking!

That is an excellent f stop. Your background is defocused just right in my opinion. I love the elongated proportions of the lupine spires. And still growing. I understand why you like this one.

I very well remember this one from flora, Carol, but I am happy to see it again. Talk about "full bloom!" Great post for this WC.

What a beautiful flower shot, Carol! Gorgeous colors and design in these flowers. Your chosen F stop works so well to blur the background and make the front flowers sharp. I like the inclusion of some pink flowers in the background and the leaves in the foreground. My only thought would be a slight crop from the left. Great for the challenge.
