Another photo taken in Costa Rica 03/12. I was attempting to capture a larger view of what I was seeing, so I used a fisheye lens for this shot. I like getting the perspective and the colours from the photo however like the horizon I am learning, and have a long way to go!

Interesting landscape John. There appears to be some distortion though. Have you tried to correct some of it in Photoshop or Lightroom.

Lastly, due to the presence of the fence, I need to move this to Man&Nature Gallery. Hope you understand.

The landscape is overshadowed by that 'nuclear explosive' sun unfortunately. My eye goes right there and is transfixed.

John,

This is an interesting shot with a fisheye lens. There are parts I like and parts I'm not so excited about. I like the round dome from the sun, but it is pretty close to edge of the image and as bright as it is, demands attention. Generally, the goal is to draw the viewer into the image and keep them there with highlights and/or leading lines. The whole image looks to be tilted left pretty heavily. This is easily corrected in LR of PS, but it will crop the image in the process. To me, fisheye lenses distort foreground objects so severely that they should be used sparingly. The perspective of the fence is so warped that it is a bit distracting. Colors and brightness look pretty good. Keep shooting the fisheye. Learn its peculiarities, and use them to your advantage.

I like what the fisheye is doing here and the perspective, however, the sun tends to overpower the image somewhat. Still, an interesting shot though.
