You may have seen Sandy Richards' post a few days ago from the same location. If this is redundant, it is because we were shooting side by side. When I originally saw this photo, I thought I scratched my lens or that there was an anomalie. When I discovered that my image distress was the result of 6 shooting stars, I was then embarrassed. This is a true story. This is the first time I have shot night sky.

Nikon D800 Nikkor 14-24mm lens taken at 15mm ISO3200 20 second exposure at f/2.8 Manual

Patrick, I haven't seen the night sky in so long, I had forgotten how glorious it is. This is a beauty of a shot! There appears to be a bit of noise in the lower, lighter areas (probably elsewhere as well, but more noticeable in the lighted area). Easily corrected with some selective noise reduction. :toast:

Patrick: I like the sky part of the image. Nice stars, shooting stars  , and milky way. The thing that keeps getting me is the foreground. It feels tilted to the right (don't know if it really is, but feels that way), and I wish there was a bit more to have a solid base for the image. Still a very nice night image.
