Here is another lion picture from our recent trip to Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. This pair had been mating every 20-30 minutes since the day before and we found them here enjoying the morning sun during one of their momentary breaks. The morning light was great and we were lucky to find them in this nice, open area.

PS - Action shots coming soon.

As always, comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

It is always great to find Lions mating as you are guaranteed some action

Look forward to seeing some more soon, as I leave in a week

Nice Lion shot Joseph. I am told finding a lion in the open is a rare treat. I like the stump behind the female, and while it does draw my eye, I think it adds to the photo. The OOF animal in the URC adds a bit of mystery as well. Congrats :wavey:

They look very relaxed Joseph, of course. I like the soothing brown tones in this photo. Well done

Nice setting and light indeed. I would consider cropping the dark background sliver off the top for a more uniform presentation?
Let's see the action!

Thanks folks! Here's a crop with that sliver of dark area removed, unfortunately there's no more foreground to spare so it's pretty tight.
