Terrific! I can't recall ever seeing a close portrait of this species before. Very nice detail. I'd tone down the bright area in the bottom left a bit more. I'd love to have taken this.

Craig, this is NOT an easy bird to even find, let alone get a shot. Love the portrait and detail is great. I think Richard's comment about toning down the lower left is a good one. Congrats on this species.
BTW...I did see and get my first shot of this species a couple months ago (never posted it). I had to look it up because I had never seen one and totally lucked out when I saw him.

Great discovery, and very well captured, Craig. I've yet to see one of these.

Craig,
Wonderful capture, I agree that some toning down of the bottom left corner may assist, I would try with the sponge tool.

A beautiful close-up peek of this illusive rail Craig. Great pose and fine detail. The surrounding habitat gives you a real feel for the thick marsh vegetation these guys live in.

Exceptional!! I have barely even seen a rail, let alone gotten a portrait like this - amazing.

Great portrait! Very nice detail and pose. The bottom left corner is a bit bright as stated, but overall it is great!
