I was on my way home when this huge brown bear flew out of the woods on a collision course with me. I slowed down to give him time to cross in front while grabbing for my camera in the passenger seat but he turned on the shoulder of the road and started running alongside instead of trying to cross. I wasn't too interested in stopping with him right beside me so I sped up a bit to get by him and he sped up with me! At that point I had my camera in my right hand so I rolled down the window and grabbed a quick shot. I didn't have time or opportunity to change the camera settings and the last shot I had taken was a landscape on a tripod (see settings below) but I took the snapshot anyway. Then I stepped on the gas and he crossed the road behind me. To give you some idea how large he was, the shot was taken from about the middle of the drivers side window of my pickup and as you can see, his head was about the same height! With the blurred subject and cropped leg it isn't going to make any points in the Wildlife Gallery but I thought it might be appropriate for this challenge theme

Gary, works for me! Certainly captured the concept of motion. I do wish you had the rear leg in the frame, but all things considered an interesting image. Thanks for sharing.

Nice job Gary; you certainly have the motion blur in there and I like the amount of space he has to the right in the frame. Great caption too.
