Midnight Dance v2

Here's a redone version of the "Midnight Dance" photo I posted several days ago.

This version contains many more panoramic segments along with a sharper background to make it wider and more crisp. I wanted to leave some lighted details in the tree, but unfortunately my focus stack pass did not span the whole scene. So, I went ahead and made a solid silhouette. I'm thinking this actually works better, because it leaves more to the imagination and looks more abstract.

Thanks for looking! Hope this one works out better for you guys.

I'm no expert on night photography,
but I think this is awesome...
No suggestions at all...
I would love to see this BIG

Oh, this is much better than MD v.1! Just the extra 'breathing room' gives this a better and more complete perspective, not to mention the near completion of the 'Milky Way-bow'. Well captured and 'developed', Johan!

In a word; fantastic! The arching milky way is very striking, Johan; reminds me of a rainbow. I do like the added mystery here with the silhouette.

Wonderful composition here with the milky way arching over the gnarled tree. Don't have anything to suggest here, simply perfect.

What a cool image this is Johan! The silhouette works great with the interesting shapes of the foreground tree in front of that fantastic looking sky. Impressive!

I'll just echo John on this being better than the previous one, and for the same reasons.

Really like the position of the MW in the frame. The silhouette works nicely.

I really like this version much, much better. I especially like the arc of the Milky Way and the fully silhouetted tree. Wonderful night scene.

This is very well done and tons better than previous capture. The silhouette frames the milky way perfectly. :toast:

Nice one. The gnarled subject has a lot of character and works as a silhouette very well.
