Bashful Bunting

Made early this morning, the Painted Bunting males non-breeding colors are of the summer kind.. It seems to be either entering, or coming off a period of molt.
F/6.3, 1/125th, ISO 640, 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.4x ext @ 7:34am

A fine pose, good eye contact, good detail. The top of the perch is a little funky, but not unpleasing.

Howard, I really like the pose of this bird. It shows off the gorgeous feather colors and the head turn is very nice. You captured a beautiful background that really makes the bird stand out. The OOF leaves at the time are a bit bothersome, but they were there and not much you could do about it.
