I like this: the old cars, the open field to the right, the steam coming out of the locomotive, and the sepia treatment. I might have tried to eliminate the crossing sign. Were there signs like that when those cars were first around? All in all, a very nice photo.

Fun! Ya think someone parked these cars for this very purpose?
I like how the train seems to be infinitely long, along with the fence line. Processing looks good, you might even consider a little more sepia treatment for that antique look.

Great concept and effect here, Richard. I've ridden that train in the Dome car and it was thrilling.

The sepia treatment is perfect to give the antique feeling, Richard. Excellent work. How did you come to be there at the perfect moment with these cars?

Thanks for the comments. Morris, no luck at all....scouted the crossing for an old time effect and parked my model T for the shot (mine's the black one )

The engine dates to around 1944 and was in service until the mid 1950s. (Actually, UP lists it as still in service ) I would love to shoot something like this using a camera from that vintage. Maybe I'll wander out that way next year and follow any old cars I see.

Amazing photo, terrific processing. Just love it. The timing of the shot is perfect to create the perspective of the endless train (and prairie!).
