Busy gathering food for the youngsters....a never ending job! I had to spend some time waiting for this bird to perch on something where I could isolate it from all the tall grasses. Thank you all for the very nice comments on my last post and to the moderators for the WP!

50D, 500mm w/1.4, ISO 200, F11, 1/250
LARGER version also posted.
Thank you to all who take time to comment/critique! I appreciate it! Sharon

Beautiful capture of this species, Sharon. Great to see her (him?) with a mouthful. The complementary colors of the background and perch make this image very attractive. :toast:

Very nice! I like the composition, colors, detail and the BG. Also IMHO the food in the beak sets this image off from others. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent shot! Very artistic as well as Nature - I would call this a wall-hanger.. Maybe a tiny bit more space at the top if you have it?

Great image of this guy bringing home the bacon er bugs. I think you could increase the contrast a little bit, maybe a linear curves adjustment in ps. I particularly like the depth of field you used bringing all the perch into focus here. :toast:
