5 Lakes Trail Daisies

What I love most about this camera is that I can take it anywhere. This was on a mountain bike trail in Jasper National Park called 5 Lakes Trail. When I see something I can jump off and shoot - shouting out to my husband ahead... "stop! I've found another one!" It lacks the resolution of more powerful cameras, but its a great camera for staying ready in any situation. All feedback welcome.

Well composed and well seen, although I could wish you had backed off just a hair, enough to include all of the clipped blossoms on the left, top and the right. :toast:

Well, nothing at all wrong with a go anywhere camera that's fun to shoot, Diana. You captured a happy scene here.

Diana - Great use of the flowers as the foreground element. I agree with Phil that backing off a bit would have enabled you to accommodate al the clipped flowers into the scene, but I am sure you had reasons not to do it.

Hi, Diana. Welcome to NPN and to Flora!
What a great perspective! Very creative look at the daisies with a lot of background to tell the story of where you found them. Some might quibble with flowers touching the edges of the frame, but I feel like my nose is right in 'em! Having said that, I do wish that more of the top flower was in the frame. Overall, a very fun and out-of-the-box capture.

Grateful beyond words of the feedback. What seems obvious now wasn't before. In contemplating the upgrade to the real deal equipment, I can incorporate the feedback into future shoots. NPN is a treasure trove of goodness.

I sure like the environment you captured in this Diana. Other than the already mentioned clipped blooms, this is a great composition in my opinion.

Again, I really, really like the composition/perspective! My personal preference would be to have all the tips of the flowers as well as that top flower included fully in the frame, but honestly this is a strong image regardless.

A good exposure and I really like your perspective for the comp. I agree about checking the edges to make sure nothing is clipped, if possible. The mountains add a perfect backdrop to the flowers.

Diana: Beautiful scene and a very creative POV. A little tight on the flowers near the edges but this still works for me. Nicely done.>=))>
