Two wild (feral) horses having a little clash as one looks on. It is not so much the action, but particularly the beautiful desert habitat setting that made this appealing to me.

Aus, Namib Desert, Namibia
Camera Model Canon EOS 1D X
Shutter Speed 1/1250 Sec.
Aperture Value f/4
ISO Speed 200
Lens EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM @ 200mm
Crop app 85% of original.

I really like this image. It reminded me the movie "The misfits" (I know that that was USA and not Namibia).
Good action and great setting.

I like the contrast between the calm observer and the action of the other two. The setting and colors are wonderful.

I was wondering what Vincent was doing in the American southwest until I read the techs. Great action and beautiful landscape. I like the sense of depth created by the contrast of warm saturated foreground colors against the muted cooler distant hills.

Vincent,
A part of Namibia I have yet to visit, as always the scenery is splendid. Hard to believe that these animals are descended from those abandoned by German Troops after World War 1.
Great moment :toast:

The only guys missing are 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' (Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef)! Right out of the Wild West! I only wish the horse on the left was prancing, too.

Nice job of composing this shot Vincent. I especially like the inclusion of the environment on this one.

Great setting and warm light make for interesting images, agreed! It is too bad the one on the left is static, as this would be a real show stopper with 3-way action.

Lovely setting and action (in good light) here Vincent. These horses at Aus are also on my to-photograph list (that list is quite long by this time!).
