Fresh from the pond. I managed half a dozen frames before it flew. I liked this head tilt the best.

1Div, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Black Widow on RRS legs, f9, 1/640, iso 640, Av mode with -1/3 compensation. Processed in CS 6 and cropped to 6.4MP. Taken July 12th at 8:18 pm in the back yard.

I always look forward to your comments and criticisms.

Thanks for looking,

Denis,

I agree with you liking the head tilt, gut I am not to sure about the crop. For me there is just too much space on the left, but my cropping ideas are not always very good

I agree with Ken.
I would try a vertical version of this, removing the left space of the frame.

Great DOF and light, Dennis. Gives the image a 3D feel. I also like the headturn, but second the suggestion to move the sparrow to left of the frame.

Nice detail, exposure, head turn and setting. I am back and forth with the crop....wonder what it would look like if you cut off the green pine on the left?

A nice capture of this Sparrow Dennis, crop is a question of taste of course but since the bird is looking to its left I guess that if you have the room, you could open its left side. A minor fix if you so desire. :toast:

Awesome pose and setting. The bird is actually looking to it's upper right, so comp is just fine by me! I like the one foot showing, too! Sharon
