CYT w/ mouthfull

From my files, this fellow was helping to feed the family.

Delicate enough to perch on a blade of grass but strong enough to travel hundreds of miles, these little ones amaze me.

90% of FF.

1/160s, f/9.0, ISO 640.
600mm + TC 1.4 on D300.

Thank you all for comments and suggestions.

I love these CYT's and I like your capture. Nice details and the mouthful and wet look add interest. Sharon

Great eye contact, colors, detail, and close comp Claude, they are amazing

I especially like the mouthful here, looks like it's two different insects.
Well done!

Wonderful shot, terrific feather detail and his talons gripping the plant is exquisite. Maybe a tad more canvas on the bottom but I still like it a lot.

Great capture, Claude. The smorgasbord of bugs is very impressive.

Great job getting the yellow throat in open and with the bugs, Claude. Very nice contrast between the YT's pose and vertical lines of the grass.

A real nature photo. The bird, its behavior, the habitat all very well shown. Excellent background.
