Nice crisp image, Jefferson and a sweet pose. The angle of the perch makes for a difficult focusing issue, but this seems to work. I might tone down the brightest part of the white breast just a tiny bit to help bring out the detail there.

Love the light on the bird and the exposure looks great. I do wish the perch was more in focus, but hard to do with these branches extending towards you. However, looks like you had plenty of SS already and enough distance from subject to BG without jeopardizing the smooth bokeh you wanted to try f/8 or f/9 to find out.

Thanks for your comments, guys.
Kurt, I was shotting hand held, so I was worried about having the sharp bird, and to be honest, did not think about trying to change the aperture. Thanks for pointing it out!

Nice comp and I like that the emphasis is on the bird, as the perch is rather large. Sharon

Nice exposure Jefferson, just short of blowing out some of the white on the breast. I like the pose and sharpness achieved here.

Very nice. If it were mine, I'd pull the whites on the breast down just a tiny bit.

Beautiful bird. Love the nice smooth background. I am not crazy about the out-of-focus perch but this is still a great image.

Hello everyone,
thanks for your comments!
I'm not sure that I should tone the whites a little down.
On my screen (at home) and at work, it looks ok. Histogram looks ok. But some of you said I should work a little on the whites.
Besides Dennis and Jim, does anyone consider the whites should be toned down?
Many tanks!
