Not a creative title, I imagine, but all I could think of for now.

This is another image from the Olympic coastline in March 2011. I have been revisiting many of these RAWs to see if I could improve on the outputs with progress in knowledge/artistic direction. It's a fun exercise, but the obvious problem is I can't change the exposures I took out in the field! Oh well... doing the best I can.

Not sure if this is a keeper, but this is one of two of the moodier images I took towards Point of Arches that I enjoy. In this one, I was drawn to the amazing, organic shapes of the sea stacks on the coastline. I would appreciate any of your feedback on the effectiveness of the mood.

Thanks for your C&C

I'd definitely cast my vote for this being a keeper. Nicely composed and processed. There is a lot to hold my interest throughout the frame.

It's certainly a keeper in my book. I love the mood here and the processing looks great to my eye. Nit: Don't know if you have any more room in the original, but the crop on top feels a little cramped for my taste. Very nice work. :toast:

Moody indeed! The only nit I have is I would like a little more room at the top if possible. It also looks like it might need a CCW rotation, but it could be an illusion. Keeper for me!

Nice moody seascape, Navin. I like the framing elements that carry one's view into the image. Also the wave action is nicely presented. Well done. Chet

Navin,
I really like everything about this... the pano crop, the exposure, just enough shadow detail, the comp and obviously the incredible seastacks and ocean movement.
Very nice.

A very good keeper capture. Pano works very well. :wavey:
I agree with top a bit tight to rocks.

I like the blue tones throughout and the interesting shapes of the stacks. I also vote for a little more at the top.

Beautiful moody seascape. It has a nice, other-worldly feel to it. As mentioned, it could use a bit of room at the top, but not a deal breaker for me. I count it as a keeper.

Wonderful moody seascape Navin. Nice detail in the water and rocks in the large version. Like the pano comp as well. Keeper.

Great picture. As already mentioned in 2 other comments I would like to see some more sky in the top of the image. Definitively a keeper!

Navin,

This is most certainly a keeper! Great choice with the pano crop and the mood as you mention is excellent - almost "jurasic" or something like that; eerie, gloomy, yet picturesque. Really like this.

The only small wish I have is that there be a tad more room up top so the rocks aren't so close to the edge. Otherwise, this is excellent.

All - thanks very much for your feedback. To answer the popular response, I have adjusted the comp to add just a little room at the top. Not too much -- since I think when I add too much, it gets too near to a 50/50 split and my eye goes right to the center of the frame. A few other adjustments here to even out the shadows in the distance and relieve the illusion of tilt. Thanks again

Splendid image, very evocative. I agree on the "Jurassic" feeling... I also like the blue cast. Of the two version, I have a slight preference for the first (original) one...
