Mabry Mill

I shot this today among a crowd of people and painters. I had to blend two images to remove the people from the scene.

They were running the mill for demonstration, so I was finally able to get the wheel motion I always wanted to get.

Canon 6D, 17-40L @ 40mm, 1.3S, f22, CPL, 3 stop ND, tripod.
Two 1.3S exposures blended to erase people.

All C&C Welcome.

Outstanding, Brad. The light looks like it was strong, but this came out beautifully with very nice contrast and excellent detail. The mill itself could not be nicer. :toast:

I really like this, Brad. This has such a nice peaceful feel and it is such a beautiful setting. Getting this with the wheel in motion adds a wonderful touch here. Very nice!

What a lovely scene and the moving wheel really adds a nice element. Great job with the post processing with the highlights being well controlled. I might think about cloning out the stump and wood just to the left of the mill.

Beautifully idyllic scene. A horizontal image w/o the sky might work too.

I like very much how balanced and elegant this composition looks as you have employed the elements that define the scenery, the colours and the perspectives in an excellent way. We get a great idea of this nice water mill and of its natural surroundings, depth and clarity are superb. Apart from that, even beyond the physical description, the picture is a delight to look at for its beautiful light and bright contrasting colours. Very well done Brad. :toast:
