This imagen was taken in the Lago Ercina inside the Picos de Europa National Park in Spain. Is a blending of two exposures of five minutos using the Polarie to tracking the stars in one of them. In the other exposure the camera is fixed. The side rocks are lighting with a led flashlight
Canon 5DII, Samyang 14 mm f2.8 at f4, ISO 800, 2x5 min, no filters, please see the larger version

Very peaceful, makes me wish I was camping. Nice capture.

Nice natural look, Jose, i like it. it kind of throws me seeing the crisp MW along with the smooth water (sans reflection) but it's a bit different and i apreciate that.

I'm with Stan. This is like a quiet window to the stars, a darkened auditorium during a magnificent light show. :toast:

This definitely needs to be viewed in a dark room to appreciate it fully. Beautiful image Jose.

Wow. Beautiful composition. I guess the Polarie really works. Must be a bit difficult to merge one moving and one stable capture.

Many thanks to all for the comments. Daniel, if in the composition you can see the Polaris star then with the free transform utility of PS set the rotation point over the Polaris and use an angle rotation equal to Earth movement during the exposure. For example, five minutes = 1.25º. If not possible see the Polaris then is bit difficult, error and trial with the free transform
