Waiting for the Wedding

I just HAVE to photograph whatever it is that when I see it makes my jaw drop. Had to work pretty hard to get a comp, though, after the "wow" went off in my head. In processing, my intention was to keep the roses soft looking, so a little less contrast and structure than usual in NIK and very slightly warmed.

D700 105vr tripod cpl; f7.1, 1/250, ISO 500. Blended down some bright highlights in the bg urc.

Let the wedding begin…

The flowers are beautiful and the composition is very good. The only thing I might try is just a hair more contrast, but it works well as is.

Lovely, Catherine. I like your composition and the gradations in color from the white in the lower right to the darker pink above.

Beautiful, Catherine. The softness works well with the subject and pastel colors.

Catherine - Very nice pair there - one slightly dark in color and the other one lighter providing soft contrast. Very pretty rendition for these delicate Roses.

A complex grouping very well handled IMO, Catherine. The decision to go for softness seems right and the pale colours are a real delight.

I like the comp, the light, and the pp to make them soft. I would have to say, "wow", too.

Very soft and very gentle, which to me fits these pink roses perfectly. I really like the overall lighting and the mix of sharp and oof elements. Beautifully done.
