Good effort for your first try!

A little known secret for processing Milky Way shots is to apply an unsharp mask with the radius maxed out as high as it will go. It's a good method for making it pop a bit more. If that is something you are interested in, of course.

Keola,

I just sent you an email, so hopefully you see that, or read this to understand why your image was moved to the Man & Nature Gallery. Also, because there is a limit to posting 1 image post per day, re-worked images are encouraged to be posted within your original thread. Simply use the comment box and attach your new re-worked file. It's also recommended that you edit the title of your post to indicate a repost. In other words, change your title to "Milky Way on Donner +rp" (or whatever will fit.)

I saw your repost by had to remove it. Could you please comment here and add your repost. The image was much improved and I know folks will want to see this.

BTW, an excellent image of the night sky, the Milky Way and the inclusion of the human element. Well Done!

Lon

Keola,

Thanks for reposting here in your original post.

The stars and night sky do indeed look much better.

We look forward to more images and for your contributions to the galleries and forums.

Lon

ps. I edited the title of your post (not your comment) - this lets folks know when viewing the thumbnails the member has added a new version.

I like the juxtaposition of the head and tail lights with the Milky Way. Nice image!
