The Prickly Poppies are blooming on the prairie and I think they are the prettiest prairie flower. I have bunches of image of prickly poppies, but when they star blooming I just can't pass them up. Thanks for you comments, they are all welcome.

Excellent, Richard. I really like the lines in this one and the focus on the foreground.

Superb detail in the center, and the background supports and advances it in the image. Very well done. :toast:

The wrinkled whites and the burst of yellow stamens are a sight to see. Well seen!

Richard - This is really pretty. The petal texture, exposure and the rich warm yellows with an off center composition all come together to make this an attractive shot.

Richard

Excellent capture. Like the shadow lines created by the wrinkles in the white petals. :toast:

Lovely play of light and shade, Richard, great control of the whites and a centre which is beautifully set off against the light. Beautiful !!
