We had a fantastic trip to Sri Lanka this spring! What an amazing country for nature lovers and photographers, Which we happen to be both... I encountered this red DF in a hotel garden and it was very cooperative. I have never seen so many different DFs in all of the countries I have been, I will post more of them in the coming weeks. :wavey:

Beautiful, Ellen. Not does the DF have amazing color, but the bg could not be any better. The head on, eye level comp is excellent as well, as is the detail. Certainly one of the prettiest DF images I recall seeing here or anywhere else for that matter. :toast: :jump:

Great composition and colors, Ellen. The BG perfectly complements the DF. Sharp details. The large version is there when I view it. Very much worth viewing the large version. Thanks for uploading.
