This view is of Grandjean, Idaho, the headwaters of the South Fork of the Payette River. The mountains on the horizon are the Sawtooth Range. The image is bordered along the bottom with the Idaho State flower- the Syringa. Access it this area is closed during the winter due to avalances and heavy snow. Stanley, on the other side of the mountains is often the coldest place in the lower 48.

Nikon D200, Nikon 17-55 2.8, 1/30sec@f18, Grad ND, tripod.

Bob,

What a grand view; this really just a wonderful mountain landscape. Not terribly dramatic, but those summer afternoon thunder storm clouds, add a terrific element to this scene.

Very minor, but due to the distance and atmospheric conditions, you might consider a slight contrast boost to the far mountain range. That's about the only suggestion I can think of. Nice processing with natural color/saturation.

I concur with Lon's suggestion, but that's very minor. This is a really beautiful vista very well captured Bob!
