Tried a tighter crop but rather liked a pano version of these small white flowers at the edge of a herbaceous border. Not sure what they are - the centres remind me of eucharis bulbs, but would be grateful for any thoughts on the ID.

Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 135mm, 1/800sec @ f 5.6, - 1.33ev, ISO 400, hh, some added blur in Color Efex.

Thanks, Lorna, for that - though, looking a stitchwort images on the web I'm still not too sure; the petals ( could not see a 6 petalled stitchwort eg ) and centres of the stitchwort seem a little different to me. I attach a closer up view in case that sparks off any further thoughts from anyone.

Beauty! You've handled the 'dreaded white' color very well. It is hard to blend with a complimentary b/g... unless you go way into pastels and unnatural. This is creamy...delicate. Well done. If one idea...lightening up the left a tad more... for balance and to suggest the wonderment of what is beyond the frame that explains why the blooms are tilting left.

This looks wonderful, Ian. Lovely comp and the flowers looking into the frame seem just right. Nicely done!

Lovely overall and think the inclusion of that environment definitely makes a splendid image.

Excellent composition Ian, the white flower stands out beautifully against the dark bg. Beautiful work.
