Abstract of a Pincushion Protea. It's a beautiful flower straight-up, but I wanted to see if I could do more than a regular mug shot.

Your comments are much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time.

Sanjay

An excellent POF traversing a diagonal arc, detail where it counts, and pleasing colors. I would say you succeeded.

Gorgeous colour, Sanjay, and an intriguing depth of field - I think just enough of the anthers are in focus to make this a very attractive image.

Love the colour and detail in this abstract. What would happen if you inverted it....???

Thank you all for your comments. I appreciate it.

Hi Gary, As you suggested, I tried to invert it (both ways) and I didn't think it looked natural at that angle. I am biased because I know how the flower was pointing when I took the photo, so maybe that is why I feel the flip makes it looks unnatural. Thanks for the suggestion.
