Wow what a cool picture! My one and only nit is that the third lamb is hidden behind mum but there's nothing you can do about that. The jumping lamb is just incredible, it looks like it's levitating in mid air. Great BG and overall COMP as well.

excellent catch! Perfect detail and BG.
I'd like to see a little more room in front of the mid-air lamb to show where he/she is heading.
I'd personally clone out the dark, third lamb, as it is a bit of a distraction.

Oddly, I was first impressed by the beautiful exposure, you really nailed it. Of course having four goats in the frame and the kid in flight is spectacular. You might try and draw out a bit more detail on the shaded kid however, but cloning it - I wouldn't. Personally I think I would prefer to see the kid's intended landing pad in the frame; in the style of the famous Brandenberg photo of the Arctic Wolf on Ellesmere jumping from one ice flo to another. Wonderful just as is though, impeccable timing to get the shot.

Great timing!! IMHO it is a good image even if the jumping kid was not in the photo! The jumper makes it into an outstanding photo. Good detail, great color. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent timing and sharply frozen action. It's interesting how the adult looks straight ahead, almost unconcerned, as the lamb takes that jump. Did the others follow?

Beautiful frame, very nicely executed! The jumping lam takes all the lime light! I too would prefer a touch more room in front and tad less saturation in blues.

Great capture Richard. The colours and the detail are super.
The third lamb doesn't bother me at all because the other 3 stand out so strikingly and attention is really focussed on the mother and the lamb in mid air.
I would have preferred to have a bit more on the right hand side to give an idea of where the jump is heading. Of course it would make your shot a lot less dramatic.

Whoa! I think I'd be pretty happy to get something like this. The lamb in mid-air is a great catch.

Jeez they're cute! Look at that little tail. Yeah, it tad more room in front of the jumper is all I'd want. They are incredible animals, and this shows them up on top of the world.

Thanks all for the comments. I wrestled with how to frame this one and settled on not showing the landing spot to add some suspense and mystery to the photo. Yes...the cute little guy safely made it to the intended rock and frolicked around the mountain top for another 15 minutes before heading down the cliff face where I was not about to follow.

Great colour pallette Rich and what a gorgeous backdrop! The fact that you managed to capture one in mid-air only makes it even more special. I do agree with the wish for the landing pad being there. Also the third youngster behind the mom is a bit unfortunate. Despite these two small nits this is still a wonderful image.
