Down by the Lake

Haven't processed a landscape photo in some time, so thought I'd have a crack at one tonight.

Taken during our trip to the Southern Drakensberg earlier this year...single exposure, it was a misty morning and this was taken as the mist started to clear well after sunrise (sunrise was a dud, too much fog!).

I like it in colour and B&W...decided to post the latter.

Techs:
Nikon D800
Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 @ 24mm
Kenko Pro CPL
f8.0 | 1/60 SS | ISO-400

Morkel,

This is a very pretty spot. Looks like you captured it very well. The comp is very pleasing. Some of the sky seems a bit overexposed or at least has less detail than the rest. For me, black and whites really need to "pop" with contrast and details. Perhaps some more processing could bring out some more details in the lake reflections and sky.

A very nice scene. I was thinking before I read your comments what the scene would look like in color. Well composed.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions guys.
I've reprocessed to brighten the whites in the clouds!

Superb monochrome landscape photo, excellent light & clarity, nice arrangement, very good viewpoint. The nice reflections add nice toning to the scene. Well done Morkel.
