Was trying out a new camera body when a group of swallows starting flying around where I was standing. Had to try to get a flight shot.
Almost decided not to post after seeing Sandy's stilt. It was challenging, but fun to try.

Canon SL1
1/400 @ F-13
Canon EF-S 55-250 @ 250mm.

A swallow in flight is a very tough shot. Good effort trying to get one. I would have opted for a much faster shutter speed with a much wider aperture.

Oh, I'm impressed with getting a swallow in flight. Tight at that! Good going, John!

Pretty impressive catching this speedster. Can you lighten the bird's head at all? Sharon
