Funks Grove in central Illinois is very dark when the trees are all leafed out, I spotted this deer back in the trees and needed to use ISO 800 to even attempt a photo. I did not notice the second deer until I downloaded the images.

Canon T3i
1/125 @ f-5, ISO 800
Canon EF-70-300 IS USM @ 225mm.

The composition you choose by framing the deer between the trees really elevated this image John in what looks like a rather difficult environment to shoot. I am not sure the second deer is a bonus here with its face partly obscured. If it would have been a bit more to the left then definitely. The noise level looks quite horrible on this small jpeg, maybe that can be tackled best by going back to the RAW file.
