BB Plover

I like the water in this as much as I like the bird. This is adult Black-bellied Plover in transitional plumage from the Brig. I cloned out a little white blob in the water just below the breast.

50D, 500mm w/1.4, Iso 200, 1/80, F7.1
LARGER version also provided.

THANK YOU for your comments/critiques! Sharon

Sweet! Love the pose, detail, and - like you - especially the water.

Nice. I like the water too. And the fact that one can clearly see the feet through the water. So many details in the bird. The large version should definitely be viewed.

Excellent, Sharon. Good exposure and detail in the bird, and I agree that the water is neat in this image.

I agree Sharon, the water is super. I'm not familiar with the BB Plover but this is an interesting image. The scruffy plumage makes it look more like a juvenile than an adult. Great exposure throughout.

Very nice Sharon. He looks a bit sad. And, yes the water is lovely.
