Water Lily

Another shot from Soos Creek Botanical Garden where the pond is brimming with new lily blossoms and a few close to shore that I was able to get my tripod and camera for a look-down shot. Rare to get that angle without being wet all over.

nikon d800e and zeiss 100mm at f16, 1/8 sec, cable, mirror up.

Cloudy day..with some sun... i used my hand to block the sun and allow only a gap of light to spot the droplet.

Gorgeous, Ken. I like the symmetry as emphasized by the square comp. Excellent management/use of the light. The center of this water lily could not be any nicer.

Beautiful, Ken. I like the way you spotlighted the drop and the glow in the center of the flower. The bits of water showing through have an interesting quality.

Your handling of the light here is fascinating, Ken. It's worked beautifully - the whites are gorgeous, and the touch of light on the droplet is delightful. Lovely image !

What a great look "down the throat" of this lily. As Scott pointed out, the center of the bloom shows off the structures and colors wonderfully.

Beautiful creams and golds in this Ken. You might want to clone out the hair in the middle of the bottom.
