This is probably my favorite image from last week's visit to lower Antelope. I suppose there are hundreds out there just like it, but at least this one is mine and honestly I just love looking at it. I appreciate your feedback to help me make it better.

It's a two-image blend for dof. Canon 5DIII, 24-105 @ 28mm, f/8, 1.0 sec, ISO 100.

Thanks for looking!

I don't think there is anything wrong with this at all. Sumptuous curves line and colour. Well chosen view.

I can see why you like - nicely done. I especially like th 2 tone colrs here. Often images in the slot have the gradation in colors which is cool too, but I like that it goes from the cool purples directly to the warm orange. Looks like a lightening bolt of yellow inthe far wall. For some reason, the slightly dark piece of rock in the upper LC bothers me a little, maybe because it interrupts the flowing lines adjacent. If you were to crop it off, you would have to crop a little of the top/bottom or both which may nopt be a great option for you. Clone such a large area might be a challenge, but a possibility to keep the rest of the image intact. A beauty of an abstract for me. :toast:

Jared,

Excellent capture from the slot canyon; one that you certainly should be proud of. The inner glow and contrast between the two primary colors is wonderful. Not sure if this would make your image stronger, but I'm wondering about a crop from the bottom to eliminate the sand (that is sand isn't it?) Very minor since the sand isn't a distraction really.

The only other suggestion might be to burn down the brighter strip of light in the URC.

This should make one fine print.

There may be plenty of other shots like this Jared but I never tire of looking at them, this one included. This is very nice indeed.

Gary.

Your take is excellent. I would concur with Lon's suggestions, but very minor.

Never tire of the light that can be photographed through here. Amazing that just the slightest hint of warm light can make such an image, and of course, the intricate patterns and forms of the canyon walls. Very nice take here, don't have much to suggest except that I find the upper left dark are a tad bit distracting, but that is easy to ignore when my eyes go straight for the beautiful warm light.

I never get tired of seeing the images of slot canyons. You've done very well with this image. The contrasting colors are wonderful and the lines of the slot walls are well composed.

Very nicely done. A keyhole of orange glowing through the hallway of sandstone- excellent processing.
