This is only about a quarter mile upstream of the "Inviting Pool" that I photographed last week. A few days of rain turned the inviting riffles into a torrent, where the water seems to flow faster than gravity could propel it.

I love how this puts the viewer right in the middle of the scene. Wonderful flow, leading the eyes down stream to the lush green background. Great shutter speed!

Curious, how are you sharpening this for the web? Not sure if you're into it much, but to my eyes, it looks sharpened (almost overly), not just clear. Could be just me...

Excellent energy, I can almost hear the roar of the water. Beautiful green light in the foliage makes the entire image feel light and airy. I like this a lot

Another beauty! Such a gem of a place you found in this little creek and forest. Is this very near your home?

I sure do like the warm spring greens and your shutter speed choice, which shows good movement in the stream while retaining the flow details. This looks like a challenging spot to photograph, I think keeping the greens in the foreground is important, but would like to see more of the rapids. After a fair amount of sliding around on the screen, I wonder about cropping to the first tree on the left and a bit above your watermark.

Love the spring greens, wet leaves and moss covered rock, you can almost smell the freshness to the scene. Beautiful Wayne, definitely has a peaceful mood, did you have company, like black flies, I don't miss them  .

Wayne,

I'm really enjoying the color and crispness of the scene that you've captured here. The ferns and mosses up front really add a lot to this. I can see this is a pretty precarious location, especially after your description on your most recent post, which I'll comment on a bit later. Great job with the processing here.
