Once Again
by Youssef Ismail
Nothing real special. Another of my crescent photos. This moon marks the 8th month of the Islamic calendar and was seen after sunset on Sunday. One more month until the month of fasting begins.
It was quiet evening, slight wind and a few wispy clouds made for an interesting additional feature with the moon.
Just thought I would share, as I have not posted anything in a while.

So, for me, this image conveys a feeling of the continuity between earth and sky; yellow and blue; the enormity of time, and also the cyclic rhythms in nature. A very evocative abstract.
I looked to the sky last night, perhaps a bit too early and didn't see anything. I so look forward to your renditions. Interestingly enough, I can spot the thumbnail a mile away, while others may see an abstract trying to figure out what it is.
I'm a little torn about the little dark clouds though. On the one hand, I like the tension and dynamics created. On the other, they seem too dark, almost dastardly for some reason. But I guess the fact that I'm creating this conversation with myself means that the presence of the clouds works!)
