Nice bird and perch. Details look ok, but the tips of the tail feathers and some of the feathers on the lower breast are blue. Sharon

Claude, nice shot. I might go a little tighter on the bird removing some of the top and right of frame and maybe tone down the saturation as the yellow on the bird and blue seem way to high.

Sharon, have you not heard of the blue-tailed Merlin? (LOL) Actually its a fluff that is quite transparent and took the sky color. I have removed it. As for the belly, not much I can do about it. I did lower the saturation somewhat and it may help. Thanks for the observation.

Claude, I like the repost better from a saturation point of view. Nice bird and nice pose.

Nice pose and perch. The repost is MUCH better for a natural looking image. The original (both small and larger versions) were significantly over saturated.

Why, yes Claude, I hear you may spot one once in a blue moon! Your repost is much better. The sky is much more natural looking, the feet, cere, and eye rings are better, and even the tree looks better! Nice bird and nice job! Sharon

I've only had the opportunity to photograph one of these, nice birds and nice capture. I didn't even have to look at the title to ID it, miracle. Thanks Claude, like the repost better too.

A very bright shot Claude. The background blue seems a tad un-natural, as does the yellow of the foot.
I like the perch but I'm not convinced that the shape you've chosen for your composition is the most effective.
Just saw the re-post. Much better colours and composition. Well done.

Nice, Claude. Excellent eye contact. Looks like you had pretty bright light to deal with, but you made it work pretty well.
