Room with A View
by Ken Watkins
I am not generally a landscape photographer, although I would love to be better at it.
Yesterday I received a very surprising email from the new owners of Chilo Loge in Zimbabwe, this lodge has in my opinion, one of the greatest positions in Africa, and is now apparently re-opened and refurbished. It was OK to start with but if it has been improved then I cannot wait to get there.
This image was taken almost 4 years ago and is the view from the deck ouside our room, to the right is one of Africa's wildest game reserves Gonarezhou, directly below is the Runde river meandering its way towards
Mozambique.

Your image shows the region well - I can just imagine the wildlife in this area and how important the river is. Thanks for sharing.

Lon,
I think these are probably rocks as I remember this as roughly the place where you cross the river to get into the National Park, the water only came up to bonnet level
Thanks very much for your comments
