Fish Eagle

Surely Africa's most iconic bird, and a beautiful subject, This was taken on Rhino Island a small island which depending on the water level of Lake Kariba is reachable by land or water. Here as the sun rises you are reminded to wake up by the calls of many Fish Eagles

Nice capture Ken. Well balanced blacks and whites.
Not only one of the most iconic birds but one of the most iconic sounds of Africa too.

Beautiful gliding pose on your eagle. I am seeing a halo esp above the cranial r wing. Excellent details showing on your larger version. Nice capture! Sharon

I hope to see one of these someday and if I do, hope I can pull off a nice flight shot of one like this Ken. Love the colors, exposure spot on.
