...of rocks and falls. I decided to choose a rather intimate crop to show the dynamics of this fall in Lauterbrunnen Valley, Switzerland. I watched the interplay of water and rocks for a long time.

Comments and critique are appreciated.

Beautiful work Peter! I like the curtain-like appearance of the water. The golden color top left also works great to enhance the scene.

Nice presentation of the cliffside falls. The contrasts of hard and soft are very appealing. I like the inclusion of trees and brush for a sense of size. Well done. Chet

This is really nice, Peter. The color works beautifully, but it would be an interesting exercise to convert it to B&W. Nice tonal range.

Peter, You really did an excellent job with this. It does look like you spent time looking at this before you made your shot, and I know you do. I'm enjoying this comp very much and love the feel of this image. Captured and processed to perfection is my thinking! :toast: :toast:

Excellent idea with the crop here, Peter. The tightened image keeps the focus on a wonderful view of this waterfall.

Excellent stuff here, Peter. I really like the ying and the yang here with the hard unyielding rock against the flowing soft water. The mist in the upper part of the image is very appealing IMO.

This is a fine image with a lot more potential than shown here. It's quite underexposed, resulting in neutral gray waters. A quick Levels adjustment brings back the white in the water and makes this seem much more attractive to my eye.

Great textures and flow. Well composed. Would've though that the colored rock would pull me out of the scene, but it just starts my eye over again.

I think you captured the falls, and the feeling of watching them, very well! The intimacy of the composition is mesmerizing, just as you describe watching the falls. Wonderful!

Really love this image, with soft water and hard rock, with the details in the rock on the bottom right and the colorful rock at the top left. I agree that the water would look better if it was white, rather than grey. But overall a wonderful, recognizable abstract.
