Rose Garden Pergola

This is my last-minute submission for the Chicago Botanic Gardens Spring Contest. Believe it or not, they specifically permit HDR. And HDR clearly fits within the explicit criteria statement for this NPN Gallery; "...digitally manipulated or multiple exposure photos that are intended as obvious artistic renditions of nature." This being in the latter category, at least in my intention. The composition was my wife's idea.

I think I may be entering my "direct and harsh light" phase as a photographer.

Tomorrow I have one in the additional category of "...a series of nature photos taken in succession".

Pentax K-5, Tamron 17-50mm at 24mm, 1/60s, f/8, ISO 800, 5 exposures at 1 EV intervals.
