This red ruff lemur was enjoying the sun at the Miller Park Zoo, snoozing while the younger lemurs were playing around him.

I really like the colors of and detail in the fur as well as the good look at the snout, whiskers, tooth.

I like the colors also, and the fur goes well with the defocused background. Appears to be somewhat backlit, which highlights the fur nicely. The diagonal branch and reclining lemur "catching rays" are shown off well by the horizontal format.

"Ahhh. . .think I'll just turn my face towards the sun and rest a bit while the young ones are occupied." The lemur sure looks like he is enjoying soaking up those sun rays. Nice comp and a good background. The lighting is bright but is appropriate for the scene and what is happening (or not happening. . .?). I like the way it backlights the whiskers and helps highlight the interesting color variations in the fur. Peaceful scene. . .except for that vicious looking tooth showing.

He looks happy. I like the side lighting and the way it makes the fur stand out. :toast:
