I found a beautiful patch of bluets last night. No breeze either.

Beautiful shot Christine. I love the colors and your exposure seems perfect.

I like the composition, but it seems a bit low in overall luminance; i.e., the whites aren't white enough, and the blues are a bit too blue. Could be my monitor.

Chris, that's the densest bunch of bluets I have ever seen! Great job capturing the wall-to-wall detail. Looks a bit "dim" to me too. As John said, it may be differences in monitors. I know that some people have monitors much brighter than my calibrated NEC, because people have commented on details in the shadows of some of my images that I could not even see at all on my monitor unless I stood up and looked at it from a steep angle.

Beautiful, Christine. Perfect dof to get all of them nice and sharp. Looks almost like a painting.

These bluets were quite blue in reality but I tried going for the luminance and came up with this edit. Opinions?

Both versions are exceptionally beautiful, Christine. I actually find the original, with the deeper blues and shadows, a bit more artistic, but I like both. Once you pick the version you want, you can send me the other.

This is very nice Christine. I like the repeating shapes and colors. Excellent shot.

What a terrific collection of bluets. I've never seen a clump this dense. Both versions are really fine, but I do like the added brightness in the repost a bit better.

Christine:

Fabulous capture of these pristine blooms. I do like the brighter version a little more.
