It's hard to describe the energy of this moment. Two of kits were quite excited about mom's delivery and were scrambling around, dirt flying. The other four were clueless. I am amazed at how they can be calm and cute one minute and so fierce the next.

Same set up as the previous posts.

Russ,
Nice capture. I really like the catch light in the little one's eyes. DOF and sharpness of faces is excellent. Warmth of color greatly enhances the image.

I think the energy comes through very well in this nicely composed photo. Good choice of shutter speed and dof to center the attention on the three subjects. It has been a couple of years since I was lucky enough to find some foxes to photograph, wish I could have an opportunity like this! Wonderful photo Russell. :toast:

This is one of the images where just one word is needed in a comment. The difficulty is in choosing the right one as so many apply. Outstanding, Wonderful, Excellent and many more are appropriate.

Great shot, Russ. I looked back at the rest of this series, and it's great. Makes me jealous that you have such a great resource handy! The light in the mother's eye is terrific in this image, as is the action.

Thanks everyone. Yup Lon, shot over 400 images in that hour or so. Thankfully, I've got it culled down to somewhat less than that. It was just one day, never repeated, but it was a special day indeed. About time for me to end this story before I wear out my welcome on this site. But it sure was fun. Thanks again.

Hi Russell nice sequence of images. Just looked at this one, looks a little flat, try in Levels moving the white point to 217, I think you will like the change and it gives the image a bit more 'pop'. It's the right side of blowing any whites.

Might try pulling back a bit, just a wee bit tight, but you have grab the moment. :toast:

I haven't seen anything like this in a few years. I love watching mom bring home dinner to kits. They get so excited. You did a really nice job of translating that to us in this shot Russ. Nice work! :toast:
