The colors in the orchids are electric against the green bokeh, and I like the diagonal composition. The flowers remind me of animal heads or faces, especially the one on the right; maybe a fish or a bat. It would be interesting to know the lighting; seems like there may be some backlight.

Thank you very much for your generous comments John. Purely natural light. It was early afternoon and the sun was behind them a bit but just a couple of hours past straight up sunshine. That may account for lighting around the edges.

Orchids are wickedly tough to shot. Usually, I walk right past 'em. You did well. This is enjoyable to look at... Key is the simple background and consistent sharpness of the stalk. Well done.
