While photographing several animals at the zoo for a presentation I had the chance to take close-up shots of this 'dragon'. Had to use flash do to the dark area I was working in. The skink is 4-5 inches long. They are found in the Philippines, as far as I know.

Canon PS SX50
1/250 @ f-5
4.3-215mm @ 16mm macro mode.

Very interesting critter, John. You did a good job getting a portrait of it. Lighting seems pretty balanced and the colors and focus appear good. Where do these guys live in the wild?

Nice detail on this one John and the use of flash is barely apparent, a very good portrait of this little critter. :toast:

Excellent portrait of this odd looking creature, John. Good use of the flash.
