Sunrise Lava Thunders

Shot this lava explosions back in 2009. I am still trying to improve on my post processing and I know I have more to learn. Lava is still flowing here on the Big Island and tubes are established. Hopefully the volume continues and hoping for more. Aloha

Some special light along with the foreground! IMO, the bg sky could be toned down slightly, so the lava jumps out even more. Intense, scene, to say the least. Must be amazing in person...

Very dramatic image Tom. I really like the light, steam and glowing lava. Must have been an incredible experience.

Oh man that is great! Talk about d a n g e r o u s! Great shot Tom.

The only thing I might want to see is a hair more detail in the right as the light there falls off.
