For some reason Chrissy has never planted clematis in our garden. She spied this little beauty at the plant store and it made its way home with her along with three other varieties. This is my first shot of this flower but I suspect there will be many more coming soon. All comments welcome.>=))>

PS: Please view the larger version for some nice small detail touches.

Very cool, Bill. I always thought the seed heads were the neatest part of these, but the details of this flower are really great.

Love the color and excellent detail here, especially in the larger version, Bill. Looks like it will make an excellent subject for future photo ops as well.

I am a big fan of clematis, Bill. Lots of varieties and very photogenic. You're off to a great start. I like the way you filled the frame, and good use of the f22.

Bill:

The center looks great and I like the little droplets in the larger version. The frilly edge of the errant petals adds some interest. Like the color as well. :toast:

Very nice Bill. I was looking at a clematis the other day - wondering if I should buy it. You might have pushed me over the edge. I am looking forward to your interpretations of this one.

Great details Bill. I might prefer this a little underexposed. I think the petals and lighter areas would have a little more mood even if there were some slightly blocked areas. Cool as is though.
