Flakstad Reflection

Flakstad, Lofoten, Norway

Just before sunset, a perfect reflection of a towering mountain formed on the beach in Flakstad. Meandering bird tracks and black lines in the sand can be seen under the shallow, calm water.

Taken on a Transient Light Workshop in the Lofoten Islands. In addition to the spectacular scenery, we were treated to some amazing light and weather conditions..... so more to come, both digital and film.

Canon 5D2
Canon TSE 24mm f/3.5L
ISO100 1/25sec f/16
1.5 Stop HE Gradient

Very nice Eva, it looks a very solitary place. Perfect reflection as you say and a very obliging cloud.

Gary.

The reflection is great, Eva, and I really like the meandering tracks leading into the distance. Sure looks like a fabulous evening.

A beautiful beach-scape here, Eva. Color, detail, and comp all work very well. The FG tracks and the birds in the distance add another dimension to the view also.
I would clone out the rock jetting in on the RH middle area, that has a bit of a draw for me being on the edge. Otherwise, no nits at all.

Lovely shot Eva. I really like the inclusion of the bird foot prints on the left side and the reflection of the cloud and mountain is sublime. Can't wait to get my film shots back

Love that reflection of the mountain and the expanse of the mirror-like beach in the foreground. Wonderful light that brings out the nice texture in the mountain and the bird tracks in the sand. Look forward to seeing your film images from this trip.
