Been shooting a patch of blue anemones ( close to but not actually hepaticas, I believe ) in bright sunlight in the garden of what used to be our local vicarage.

Canon 400D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 200mm, 1/1250 sec @ f 5.6, - 1.33 ev, ISO 400, hh

Very beautiful image! I love the flower in the foreground with the oof flowers in the bg. Excellent color, comp, DOF, POF, and bg.

Beautiful, Ian. The shadows of the stamens on the petals are a nice bonus.

Ian:

A very cheerful image and certainly looks light and airy like a ballerina. Like the support cast in the bg too. The LLC looks a little empty and another ballerina there might balance out the composition more? ...but not sure though.

A beauty Ian, Nathan will be jealous. You succeeded in taking a very nice blue even in full sunlight. I love the photo.
