Blushing Bonnet

Sony A77
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 400, 1/800 @ f4

The wildflower season in Texas was pretty bad for bluebonnets but lucky for me we have a nice stand of them in our garden that come up every year. Traditionalist that I am I have found it hard to embrace new technology like an EVF and live view. However for this ground level shot I decided to use the tilting screen on my A77 instead of deploying my right angle finder. I think it turned out reasonably well, proving that even the oldest dog just might be able to learn a new trick or two. All comments welcome.>=))>

Hi Bill, very nice indeed, really like the way the bluebonnets are surrounded in a blush of color. Beautifully seen and presented.

Excellent bluebonnet cram Bill! I love the green wash, and the BG is very nice. Great work! I am glad that you have some new tricks that you can use!

The cram and the bg work beautifully, Bill, in setting off the main flower. Lovely image !

Lovely vision of this beautiful flower through the green "mist". I like your DOF choice to have the one main flower in clear focus with the same flowers in the background OOF. Love the blue/green color contrast. Very nice, Bill!

Looks like you nailed the focus even with new fangled gadgets, Bill. Nice composition.
